Viridian

Project Page

Been meaning to post about this FO for a while!

Up this week is a sample I knitted for the lovely Ruth of Rock + Purl for one of her latest patterns – Viridian. I don’t have the best pictures of the finished object, so allow me to present you with a much better photo of the FO draped around Ruth’s neck:

Viridian - FO

Viridian is a lovely simple pattern with a lovely finished item that features beads at both ends to help give the scarf weight and a simple lace repeat which you do four times per row:

It was knitted with Manos del Uruguay Lace and as someone who is normally sensitive to alpaca, I was surprised at how I had no reaction at all knitting with this yarn which was 75% baby alpaca. Lovely!

In the end I knitted 55 repeats, using 84g of yarn to give a scarf that is over six feet long and 14 inches wide.

Once you get into the rhythm of this one it’s quite lovely and knits up fast.
